Hey {{first_name}},

Firstly, thankyou so so much for being here! You’re one of the first 20 people who have subscribed to this newsletter and it means the world that you believe in the movement and the mission.

The last few months have been busy as ever with a lot of growth. Here are some of our wins:

  • We’re officially registered as a Community Interest Company.

  • Our website is up and running - www.beattheblock.co.uk

  • We’re now up to 450 followers on Instagram!

  • We’ve delivered 2x Identity workshops in primary schools as part of our 6-week BreakThrough project.

  • Partnered with Oxford United in the Community.

  • And onboarded our first ambassador, Jasmine McQuade a professional footballer for Newcastle United and Scotland U23s.

At BTB we want YOU to be a part of the journey to empower 1 million girls, so here’s an update on what we’re currently working on:

  • Making sure everything is set up for the business behind the scenes!

  • Started the process of applying for grants and networking as much as we can to learn about funding and the best way to apply for it.

  • Onboarded some very exciting ambassadors who are going to be announced soon…

  • Designing posters, flyers and merch that we can take to future workshops.

With our mission to empower 1 MILLION underrepresented girls to reach their potential, it’s hard not to feel a little disheartened that we’ve only spoken to 58 so far… but Rome wasn’t built in a day. All we can do is keep laying bricks and keep building.

Thanks for being here and if you have any thoughts, ideas or feedback please reply to this email. We’d love to hear from you!

- Paris & The Beat The Block Team

P.s. HUGE shoutout to Simon Davie and Hobs Repro Abingdon for generously organising and printing our leaflets and posters free of charge. A massive act of kindness to not only us but to the hundreds of girls you’ll inspire because of it!
